What goes around comes around!

Matthew 7: 21-23 (King James Version of The Holy Bible):

21.  Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22.  Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name?  and in thy name have cast out devils?  and in thy name have done many wonderful works?

23.  And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”

So then . . . how shall those who wear the robes of “Christian Conservatism” and who have used their elected offices . . . their positions of Public Trust . . . to cast their votes against all the government programs that were designed to give assistance and needed relief to the poor, the middle class, the destitute, the needy, the elderly, the student, the struggling poor mothers and their children – – – how shall these fare in the day of judgment?

Maybe they will try to make the case before The Lord in that day that their avarice, their callousness, their lack of concern for the needs of the 47% and their denial of merciful help to the chronically unemployed . .  and all the multitude of evils they have wrought against their suffering fellow human beings – – maybe they will try to make the case before The Lord that these actions have been the will of their father which is in heaven.

There is always the possibility that the radicals among their kind are so set in their ways and so convinced of their own righteousness in their own minds that they really will not be concerned with what God has to say in the day of judgement.

If they aren’t concerned with what God tells them is required of them now while they are yet among the living, how shall they then be expected to be concerned once they have arrived at the gates of heaven?

The plight of Christians in Iraq reportedly worsening!

The "Islamic State" is reportedly crucifying children in Iraq!

The “Islamic State” is reportedly crucifying children in Iraq!

Is there a “Holocaust” of Christians going on in Iraq because of the militant jihadist terror organization who calls itself “The Islamic State” (ISIS)?

I have heard reports saying that ISIS has painted an “N” ( standing for “Nazarene” ) on the homes of all the Christians in areas controlled by the terrorist group and have given the Christians residing in these homes an ultimatum to convert to Islam or die!

It is my understanding that 300,000 Christians are now fleeing the onslaught of the jihadist butchers and that the ISIS thugs are actually crucifying children!

Other reports indicate that when The United States first invaded Iraq in 2003 there were almost a million and a half Christians living there and now the number has dwindled to somewhere around 400,000.

An article I read on “The Christian Post” says that ISIS has been systematically beheading children as part of their murderous incursions and do I need to tell anybody that I find that news to be one of the biggest shockers I have ever read?

I know there are going to be a lot of Right Wing idiots who will be trying to place the blame for this situation on President Obama and the Administration but this is not the time for that kind of Rightie bullshit!

As a blogger it is not important to me right now how the situation in Iraq developed.  What is important right now to me as a blogger is that Christians are reportedly suffering terror, horror and death at the hands of murderers and that something needs to be done to stop it and to make sure it is stopped totally, completely – – and that it is stopped completely enough that it cannot raise its ugly head again!

I call upon everyone who reads this blog to stop for a minute and remember that we can all pray for our Christian Brothers and Sisters in Iraq if we can’t do much of anything else at this point.

I think we need to pray . . to pray fervently and unceasingly . . to pray right now . . tomorrow . . . and every day until God intervenes and saves those who are living this nightmare.

I also think we ought to be contacting our elected representatives in Washington and in State Houses and in the Government of our individual communities and beseech them to use their political power and influence to bring this horror to the attention of the highest elected officials in our land and to get something done for these folks who now find themselves in probably the most precarious situation they have ever encountered or that they will ever encounter.

This news hit me like a thunderbolt.  This is the kind of thing that we don’t often think about . . . something we find it hard to believe is really happening to other people . . . but I am glad I did hear about it because now I can sense the urgency of seeing something done about it.

Americans have a voice and I am hoping and praying millions are, even now, lifting that voice on behalf of the suffering Christian Peoples in Iraq and wherever else the Devil has decided to unleash his forces of evil against God’s Children who follow Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

If half of what I am reading about this horror is true then I am of the personal opinion that The United States cannot mount a powerful and sustained drive against these thugs quick enough or on a large enough scale to satisfy me and I will not bitch for a single minute if it costs me a few more dollars in taxes to make it happen!

I think it is time for my fellow Citizens to get on the horn and demand action be taken to save the Christians in this war-torn region – – – I think they have suffered enough!

I think it is time for a lot of  the more radical of the Right Wing “Supposed-to-be” Christian Conservative website authors to take a few minutes away from publishing all their hate rhetoric against the President and the Democrats, The Progressives and the Liberals and join in with a humanitarian Christian plea on behalf of suffering humanity . . . just one time would be effective . . . if only they could be convinced to take that step.  I am hoping there are a few out there willing to take that step to use their writing skills to cry out for mercy and justice for the oppressed Christians in Iraq and wherever else on the face of this planet that Christians are suffering persecutions at the hands of killers who seem to have no consciences whatsoever!

Conservativism Is Not Almighty!

sky-115393_640

Did you ever notice that it is not The Democrats who are always running around trying to sell themselves as the Party of Godly Morality?  No, I believe  that distinction belongs to “The American Christian Conservatives” also sometimes including a goodly number of those identifying themselves as “Republican.”

Having dealt with a lot of Righties over the years I can pretty well say for certain that a lot of them actually believe they are better than Democrats and Liberals because they often seem to think that they believe in God and Liberals do not.

I guess there is no escaping the fact that whatever is hidden in darkness will be brought into the light and that the Conservative claim to spiritual superiority may not necessarily be true. I think if you watch the evening news a lot this can be born out sometimes.

Jesus has a different idea than some Right Wing politicians!

800px-Jesus_Christ_(German_steel_engraving)_detail

If only they would open their ears and hear!

Jesus Christ said:

“If you want to be perfect, go sell your possessions and give to the poor and you will have treasure in heaven.” (Matthew 19:21).

Jesus did not say:

“If you want to be perfect, go and grab up all the wealth of this world you can get your hands on by hook or by crook and then shut up the bowels of your compassion by casting your vote against any government program that might give some badly needed help to the poor or the sick or the elders or anyone else who might be in desperate need of some kind of material assistance to make it through another day of need, want and deprivation . . . because by so doing you will be found worthy to enter into The Kingdom of Heaven before all others.”

Jesus did not say that and He did not mean that!

You who have the power to govern over the affairs of mankind on this Earth . . . are you hearing what Jesus Christ is trying to tell you?  He is not telling you to defraud the orphan and the widow and the sick, the afflicted and the needy of this world.

How can you who do such things claim to be following The Word of Truth?

Do you not know?  Do you not care that God sees every move you make, hears every word that proceeds forth out of your mouths and reads the very thoughts of your mind before they are formed?

You Right Wingers who have been elected to guide the affairs of this supposedly “Christian Nation” in a manner befitting the faith you claim to serve: Will you not listen to the voice of compassion that calls from on high for you to do the righteous thing?

Do you think for a minute that you can serve both God and Mammon?

Do those of you who support such selfishness with your sacred vote think you are any less guilty than those who do such things?

The votes you cast stand for one of two things . . . (1) The Greed of this world or (2) The Good of this world.  There is no middle ground!

Which shall it be, folks? (A) Big Business and their bed partners, The Right Wing Radicals or (B) Goodness and Compassion and their comrades in arms, the Democrats, Liberals and Progressives?

What would Jesus do?

What will YOU do?

Fruits of the Spirit

The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.  Against such things there is no law. (Galatians 5:22) (The Holy Bible)

Could somebody please remind some of our radical right wing brothers and sisters about this before they go and vote more funding cuts for things designed to help the middle class and the poor?
