Republican legislators have been raising Hell about The Affordable Health Care Act pretty much from the day it was first introduced to The American People – - – I doubt there will be many who disagree with me on that!
In all my 75 years I have never seen such a political mess as the one that has been caused just because someone in this “richest county on the face of the earth” decided – - – somewhere along the line – - – that since most of the rest of the civilized nations of the world have some kind of affordable health care in place for their citizens – - – health care coverage subsidized in whole or in part by individual governments – - – Americans deserve to get a break on their health care costs too – - – and the government they pay for with their taxes needs to play a role in making sure such a plan is in place and available and working.
I think Americans have earned it with their blood, sweat and tears over the years!
I think they have earned it and it is damned high time they start to see a light at the end of a long and difficult tunnel on the issue of affordable health care for every American Citizen.
So ever since the idea of affordable health care for all Americans was first proposed it seems to me like almost the entire right wing of our political machinery has set their faces earnestly against the idea and it seems to me like they have been doing everything in their power to get this “Law of the Land” repealed – - – they have tried it at least 40 times and failed every time – - – and I cannot, for the life of me, understand why they don’t just get the message that their repeal attempts are never going to get anywhere – - that America needs and wants an affordable health care act – - that America wants their government to play a part in backing such a health plan – - – and that Right-Wing-Nut-Wad resistance to the idea is futile and will ultimately fail.
There are Americans who desperately need affordable health care – - – and a lot of these are children for Christ’s sake!
Denying Americans an affordable health coverage plan is not only cruel and uncaring – - it borders – - in my opinion – - on treating fellow citizens – - especially the poorer fellow citizens – - or those who are working their tails off at minimum wage jobs who cannot afford health care – - as less than human – - and in my opinion this could be conceived with a little bit of imagination – - – by some folks – - – myself included – - – to border on criminality.
In my opinion the Affordable Health Care Act could more than be paid for if America would just pull in Her talons a little on some of that useless foreign aid that gets doled out – - often to nations who burn our flag and shout nasty words about America and Americans – - – I think if we are going to send money overseas to help other nations then we ought to be getting a return on our investment on some of that aid – - – I also think if we took stock of what we spend uselessly every year and start to level off a little we could find the necessary money to give our own Citizens the health care system they need and deserve.
Does America really need to spends millions on grants for studies of the mating habits of Tse Tse flies for crying out loud? - – - Well maybe not Tse Tse flies, but I am sure there are lots of holes that could be plugged in our yearly pork expenditures and that millions could be diverted into a health care plan for America – - if only someone cared enough to “git-er done!”
I don’t want to appear to too much of an ass here but I would like to remind the righties who always oppose Obamacare that there are a few million of their own people who could benefit from the program too – - it isn’t all just Liberals for crying out loud!
I mean if some of our right wing law makers can’t love people from their own damned party enough to help them out when they need a little help then who can they love?
My plea to the Right Wing today is, “Please just leave the affordable health care alone – - let the people have it because they deserve it – - and let’s get on with life!
It doesn’t need to be made into anything more complex than that!
I hope people who read this article will print it out and keep it in a safe place so they can look at it again sometime when the 2014 and the 2016 elections roll around – - and then I hope they take a close look at what the Righties are doing to the health care proposal – - and I hope they vote in the best interests of themselves, their families and their fellow Americans – - – and I hope they vote for people who will actually work for their best interests and who will somehow pull off the miracle of universal health care. It would be a great step forward for the nation and for the future of the nation.
I think we need a heck of a lot more Democrats in The House of Representatives and The Senate and I sure as Hell believe we ought to re-design The Supreme Court and get 10 Justices – - – 5 from the left and 5 from the right – - onto that bench up there in Washington.
We will see what happens as time goes by.
