What Impact Will The Current “Controversies” Have On The President’s Agenda And On America’s Prospects For The Future? – - -
Well I think I can guess what effect some over on the Right Wing side hope the so-called “controversies” will have on the President’s agenda – - – I think some of them hope the “controversies” will destroy the President’s agenda – - because folks – - – isn’t that what they have been looking for and trying to achieve with their lies, deceptions and treacheries ever since they got their rear ends handed to them in the elections of 2008 – - – and 2012?
Nothing to see here, folks – - – same old obstructionist intransigent crap from the Radical Right in my opinion!
Right-Wads are saying that the “controversies” – - – Righties do love to create their “controversies”, don’t they? – - – will make prospects for achieving any kind of immigration reform doubtful and will cause additional troubles in getting “Obama Care” up and going full tilt.
As to the “immigration” reform thing – - – I cannot see how Repukes would find difficulties in achieving immigration reform because of “controversies” now in the news because as I understand it they are the ones who are always wanting to build fences aren’t they?
Isn’t building fences and barriers about the limit of their imagination as far as immigration reform goes – - – you know . . . “keep them out!” I think The Statue of Liberty would blow out that torch in embarrassment! What ever happened to “Send me your huddled masses?” I think it went to Right Wing Hell in a hand basket – - – that’s what I think!
I hear tell that some of the Right Radicals are thinking that the “controversies” might give Republicans a better chance of flooding the political market with their particular brand of failed policy bullshit in the 2014 elections. I surely hope America is not dumb enough to fall for that old crapola! We have all been on that crap wagon before and I think a lot of us still remember how those years churned along and what effects it had on this country and on our generations. I firmly believe that our Grandchildren will still be paying for that one!
It is so strange to me that Right Wingers still try to hang onto their “Benghazi” controversy even though the national polls are all reportedly giving the president high marks for his handling of national security issues.
This doesn’t make too much sense to me – - – but then it is rare that anything the far Right does makes sense to me – - – or to most of my friends and associates either – - – or apparently to the American Electorate who has twice chosen this president over all Right Wing contenders. That surely has to be evidence of something worth considering doesn’t it?
I am always in favor of going with “America’s Choices” because I usually have the greatest confidence that when America agrees on something, that is what was destined to be and it will always turn out for the best in the long run.
One of the current “controversies” seems to be related to something the Internal Revenue Service did in the course of their normal duties – - – some kind of “Too close scrutiny” of some political groups or something and I think I have my own ideas about that discussion too:
I think the IRS, The FBI, The CIA and all other agencies involved with protecting our tax money or our safety or our national security should be as free as birds to investigate whatever and whomever they choose the same as any Law Enforcement Agency should be able and free to do their investigative work. That just makes sense to me. I don’t think we should be hamstringing our Federal Protections because of someone’s hurt feelings.
Keep in mind that you are reading an “Opinion” blog and that is what I am doing here – - – I am expressing my opinions!
It don’t look to me like any Right Wingers have all that much trouble calling for all kinds of “Investigations” when something has tickled their strings but it does look to me like maybe some of them can’t stand a little dose of their own medicine or something like that.
Is it really true that “They” can “Investigate” anything and everything or anybody they want to “Investigate” but when somebody else decides to investigate them that is a “No No?” Why is that? How is that? I do not think such things ought to be! I think that what is good for the goose is good for the gander! I do not see where their gripe lies in some of this stuff.
The next point I want to address in relation to these “controversies” is the question of how they might affect the president’s “job approval” rating.
Of course we must remember that the president is in his second term now and I am not so sure that any so-called “job approval” rating is really relevant at this point in the game.
I think the president is going to do what he has always seemed to me to do – - – I think he is going to shrug off the intransigence and obstructive nature of the A-wads who oppose him so strongly and just go ahead and do what he thinks needs doing to the best of his ability with the tools that are granted to him.
It looks to me like one great advantage for this president is that he does not have to worry about running for the office again and I think that idea ought to feel “Liberating” to him at this stage of the game.
Then finally I would like to say a word about the Federal Government:
There are some radical right wads out there who I truly believe would love nothing better than to see the end of our Federal system of government and a return to some kind of regressionist backward-looking, non-progressive stagnation but I think if they are expecting this spate of what I consider as nothing but ”manufactured” controversies to bring this vision to pass they are pissing in the wind.
In the first place I believe that all contemporary ultra-conservatist idiot-ology is designed to ultimately fail and it has been doing a heckuva good job proving that ever since 2000.
In the second place, if we did not have the Federal Style of Government, the United States would cease to be and something else would move in to fill the vacuum – - – and I do not envision that “something else” as being at all attractive.
But I do imagine that if it were at all possible, Right Radicals would conceivably be in charge of whatever it is and the end result would most likely be a true “one party-two class” system in which there is nobody but (1) The rich who demand to be served in their every whim and (2) The “Others” who would be obligated to spend their entire lives serving the whims of their masters.
