Some wing-dorks from the intransigent Right like to bitch and moan about how they believe President Obama has made a big deal out of running things with “executive orders” rather than by depending on Congress and what they like to call . . . “The will of The People.”
If you listen to some of these crap-heads long enough you might get the idea that President Obama was the first . . .(perhaps the only) . . . president in the History of the nation to use executive orders.
That would be a mistaken assumption of course because every president since George Washington used executive orders . . . some more than others . . . and the only exception was President William Henry Harrison who passed away very shortly after being sworn in.
But some of the wingtards bitch a lot about how Obama has . . . (in their opinion) . . . “abused” executive orders in some kind of imaginary “dictatorial” fashion . . . and eventually they get to the subject of how the president would use executive orders to take away the Second Amendment Rights of Americans by banning certain high-powered . . . so-called “assault” weapons . . . and . . . (according to some of the more radical of the Righties . . . “shame on him!”
Some other of those on the far Right who dream a lot have even occasionally come up with their own little list of what they think is “Impeachable Offenses” by which they seem to think they might make such a case against the President . . . but of course . . . as I know and as everybody who has an ounce of common sense knows . . . those “Impeachable Offenses” are probably little more than some of the times the President has used the power of the Executive Branch to “regulate” and this is nothing new either. The Executive has had broad regulatory power since the beginning of the Republic.
So let the “Impeacher Preachers” rave on . . . their noise will get them nothing in my opinion.. . . (except perhaps a few minutes in front of some television cameras or some other few minutes of fame.) . . . and I think this is the kind of thing a lot of them thrive on . . . live for . . . get out of bed every morning in the hopes of finding for themselves.
I think sometimes that a lot of the feeble-minded on the ever-sinking radical right wing of American Politics love to make up excuses to refer to our president as “dictator” . . . “fraud” . . . “liar” . . . and every other nasty thing they can lay their filthy tongues to.
Yes, folks . . . I think that when some of the radicals of Rights-Ville are not busy counting their ill-gotten gains . . . or digging in their noses or their rear ends . . . they spend a lot of time trying to think of nasty things to accuse the president with. Maybe they just can’t help themselves. Sometimes those who suffer certain mental challenges cannot really be blamed for the intensity of their density.
But the point I want to make here . . . for the benefit of Righties and Lefties alike . . . is that the idea of banning certain classes of assault weapons from being imported into The United States and sold on the streets and in some stores and online without any form of regulation at all is not the exclusive idea of President Barack Obama!
President George Herbert Walker . . .(“Read my lips! No new taxes) . . . Bush and President Bill Clinton both made use of the power of the executive order to put some quash on the importation of certain classes of these kinds of weapons long before Obama ever thought of becoming president . . . or to be more accurate . . . long before he was ever actually elected as President.
What I am saying here is that when Righties try to make it look like the use of executive orders and the attempt to put restrictions on the wild, uninhibited, unregulated weapons of personal mass destruction . . .i.e., so-called “assault weapons” . . . is solely a Obama-Centric” phenomenon they are . . . (in my humble opinion) . . . trying to revise facts . . . create false impressions . . . smear the administration . . . show their collective ignorance . . . show their asses . . .sometimes . . . more often than not I think . . . demonstrate themselves to in fact be a certain form of jackasses . . . . an opinion I think is probably shared by many of my colleagues and contemporaries . . . but probably not by the dripping mustaches of some of the more seriously intra-cranial gray matter impaired members of modern “Too-Much-Out-Of-Touch” American Radical Conservatism.
